The sun is shining (for now).

First of all thank you to everyone who said nice things about my story. I know it was a bit long for a blog, so thanks for taking the time to read it.

And welcome to my new followers. denise-macandrews I can't seem to find your blog.

Things have been quiet round here for a change. Jamie had another eye test last week. He was his normal not very co-operative self. But it went ok and they were happy with him.

Dad came home from Exeter hospital. He's put weight back on and his lung seems to be healing. Did I mention that? They wanted to do a biopsy on another spot the found. In the process the damaged him lung! Still he seems a little better for the moment. He has to go back next week overnight for more tests.

And the sun is out! I've dusted off the sunglasses and changed my wardrobe over. That makes me sound very posh. But really I have a very small wardrobe, that I have to share with Richard, so when the summer clothes come out the winter ones have to be packed away, and vice versa.

So I might be able to finish attacking the garden. I promised more garden pics didn't I? Ok I'll see what state it's in over the weekend.

Well, I'm "Jeriden" on my blog, combo of 1st and middle names, Jeri Denise, and blog is moonshadows and mudpies, moonshadowsandmudpies.blogspot.com. I'm an 'accidental' blogger ~ I just wanted to post a comment on a blog a while back, but it wouldn't let me without a google account, so I just came up with Jeriden off the top of my head and the other info required and then, lo and behold, not only was I able to leave a comment, I then had a blog through blogspot! Since I didn't really know what I was signing up for, I was hesitant to use my real name and came up with Jeriden (kinda silly since my real name is posted for any and all to see on my e-mail address!) So, short story long, I'm one and the same as Denise McAndrews, am so glad that I fell into the world of blogging, and am really enjoying your blog as well as others that you follow. Thank you for following my brand new baby of a blog and reading this absurdly long comment. Over and out,
Jeriden (or Denise, or whatever!)

Your poor dad having his lung damaged. I'm glad he's now on the mend though and that Jamie's eye test went well.

We had sun yesterday again, but now it's gone and the rain is back. I suppose that the garden is at least being watered, so there's something to be thankful for there.

Don't be doing too much gardening now, your fingers might turn green! ;-)

Love to Jamie and Dad.
Our garden looks like the battle of the Somme, so we are taking to weeding in the sunny bits between showers and hoping our new lawn of grass seed will grow!!

I am always amazed that they can do eye tests on children. i mean how skilled are the eye test people?! N3S is practically ahnging off the ceiling and they still manage to do an eye test. Impressive. Glad your dad's lung is on the mend, poor man. On a more random note; I like Denise Andrew's blog name choice, it is cool and Jeriden would make a great novel charecter name.

It may be more desirable to fill the anchor hole with a low modulus polyurethane
sealant. The overall effect of either epoxy or sealant materials on the behavior of the entire veneer should
be evaluated prior to their use. At best, the long-term service of epoxy is questionable, so any increase in
shear value should not be used in calculating long-term anchor capacity.
